Zoltan Varro

Zoltan Varro, the founder of VarroDesign is a multi-award-winning designer of international recognition who left his mark in several European locations from London to Lake Como. He has designed over eighteen hotels in the past few years and has won a Gold Key Award (New York), the World Luxury Hotel Award (Hong Kong) and the Boutique Hotel Award (London). He started his career over 20 years ago in the city of Budapest, where he was exposed to the rich and eclectic architectural heritage of great classical, art nouveau and modernist masters.

One of his landmark projects, the Aria Hotel Budapest was named the best hotel in the world by TripAdvisor's Travellers' Choice Award based on reviews complementing the hotel's music inspired design and sky bar, amongst other qualities. The Aria Hotel Budapest has also won Europe's Best Wellness Spa in London's World Boutique Hotel Awards and was nominated for a Gold Key Award in three different categories: Best Hotel Luxury, Best Guest Room Luxury, Best Lobby Luxury.

I am proud of the fact that those who were my clients 10-15 years ago are still my clients today. There is no more important feedback than this! All awards are very important to me, the biggest so far, the Gold Key Awards in New York, which I won in 2016 with the lobby of the Science Hotel in Szeged. The Gold Key Awards for Excellence in Hospitality Design, the award for excellence in hospitality design, is the profession's most prestigious award, which is presented every November in New York. The award rewards the most influential and innovative design works in all sectors of the hospitality industry. It was a long road to international recognition. I value my successes as the result of persistent work over the past decades.

I am interested in everything that is beautiful or related to it. Be it the apartment, scenery, event, clothes, artwork, and so on. It is my belief that every person is different, and every person feels comfortable in a different environment. Therefore, the most important thing for me is to create perfect harmony. I firmly believe in uniqueness and that everyone deserves a little luxury, even at home.
